The Diamond Star of Philippine showbiz appeared more composed on the 2nd day of the late Comedy King’s necrological service.
Maricel, who played Dolphy’s on-screen daughter on the popular TV show John en Marsha, said the late actor was the only person who made her feel like she did not come from a broken family.
The actress talked about how the Comedy King consoled her during the death of Nida Blanca.
“Iniwan na tayo ng Mommy mo (Your Mommy has left us).”
“Ngayon, walang pwedeng magsabi sa akin na ‘Wala na ang Daddy mo (Now, no one can tell me that ‘Your Daddy is gone),'”
Maricel capped her short yet heart-felt eulogy saying:
“Daddy I love you so much and I’ll see you soon…”
On the other hand, Megastar, Sharon Cuneta once again caught flak, this time for delivering her own eulogy.
Sharon was her usual eloquent self and delivered her long message with a mixture of humor and irony.
Netizen’s however felt that her message was too long for someone who was never close to the late actor. Sharon herself admitted that she was never close to Dolphy, though she wished she was. Observers noted that Sharon delivered a message that’s more about herself and talked very little about the Comedy King.
