Comedienne Pokwang denied that she is currently being wooed by MVP’s Tv5.
Pokwang was quick to quiet down rumors of her imminent transfer to the Kapatid network.
“Wala namang pormal na kiyeme. Wala namang ‘Uy, dito ka na.’” “There was no formal offer, nothing like that.”
She added that she is thankful that ABS-CBN allowed her to try out drama apart from the usual comedy she is best known for. Pokwang also expressed doubt on transferring even if there was indeed any offer as she feels the Kapamilya network provides better media coverage overseas via TFC.
“for me, it’s difficult to venture out of your comfort zone. Besides, we all know how huge TFC is(The Filipino Channel), people recognize you easily when you travel abroad.”
“it’s hard to do shows overseas if you’re not that popular and it’s difficult to sell tickets if you’re not visible in TFC”
Pokwang will be seen next in the Vilma Santos starrer suspense-thriller “The Healing” opening on July 25.
